Japan's Toys Safety Standard ST-2016 Has been Revised to the 3rd Edition

Japan Toy Association (JTA) has amended Part 1 of the Toy Safety Standard ST-2016, which has been updated to the latest 3rd edition (玩具安全基準書 ST-2016 第 3 版). Consequently, compliance to these new requirements will become parts of the prerequisites for application of the "Japan Safety Toy Mark Program (ST Mark)”, which is administered by the JTA to ensure the toys safety for children 14 years of age and under.
Effective Date:
For ST Mark applications received on and after 2020-06-01, the revisions will be put into effect for the testing. A grace period is granted for the previous application under ST-2016 2nd Edition until 2020-12-31.
