The Hong Kong Government Proposes to Update the Safety Standards for Toys and Children's Products
As described in a consultation paper published by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau this month, the Hong Kong Government intends to update the standards for the products described in Schedule 2 to its "Toys and Children's Products Safety Ordinance (Cap. 424)" (aka "Schedule 2 products"). The purpose is to bring the standards for those "Schedule 2 products" into alignment with the latest version now promulgated by the relevant standards institutions.
