Introduction
PKM electronic GmbH (since 2020: STC Germany GmbH) was founded in 1978 in Munich, Germany, as an engineering, consultancy and approval company mainly covering EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), Radio and Electrical Safety.
In 2011, Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre (STC), a testing, inspection and certification organization in Hong Kong, China, announced the acquisition of PKM electronic GmbH.
Experience combined with professional knowledge and a moderate price policy were the keys to becoming one of the leading private test houses in Europe. For EMC and Radio products we can offer assistance to the manufacturers and importers in getting the necessary type-approval for their products and also maintaining a high-quality level during the whole production process.
Accreditations
STC Germany offers a wide range of services mostly in the fields of EMC, Electrical Safety (LVD), Radio testing and certification as Notified Body. We are accredited/-notified by the following organizations:
- DAkkS (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025)
- BNetzA as a Notified Body (registered Notified Body number: 2522) for RED (Radio Equipment Directive)
- KBA (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt) to perform the necessary EMC tests for E-marking and certification procedures for car products

Our scope of services includes testing for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC – emission up to 40 GHz and immunity up to 6 GHz), RF-operated Equipment and Systems (RES), Electrical Safety (LVD and CB), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for electric/electronic vehicle products (E1), USA (FCC), Canada (ISED), Notified Body evaluation (RED) and much more.
