Hong Kong Multi-Standard Radio (MSR) Base Station, New Radio (NR) Base Station, and Active Antenna System (AAS) Base Station Certification Must Meet OFCA Requirements

Multi-Standard Radio (MSR) Base Station, New Radio (NR) Base Station, and Active Antenna System (AAS) Base Station are required to meet the Office of the Communications Authority’s (OFCA) Radio Equipment Specifications before launching for sale in Hong Kong market.These pieces ofequipment are under the Compulsory Certification Scheme (CCS) and Voluntary Labelling.

Standards of Technical requirement:

HKCA 1065       -     Performance Specification for Multi-Standard Radio (MSR) Base Station, Issue 4

HKCA 1082       -     Performance Specification for New Radio (NR) Base Station, Issue 1

HKCA 1083       -     Performance Specification for Active Antenna System (AAS) Base Station, Issue 1

The applicant shall pay attention to their equipment operating in the 3400 – 3600 MHz and 4800 – 4960 MHz bands; any unwanted emissions in the 3700 – 4200 MHz band may not exceed -52 dBm/MHz.

Labelling Requirement

Certificates issued by STC are assigned the LCB code ‘HK001’ as prefix to certification numbers in accordance with prescribed specifications.
