STC Shares Insights on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements of Smart Lightings at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair

Lighting equipment is essential for our daily living.  As the market and technology evolve, the usage and demand for smart lighting have skyrocketed.  To protect the safety of end-users, there are various requirements and guidelines issued by different countries for manufacturers and retailers to follow, such as the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) in China, Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC Directive) in Europe and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulation in the United States.

 

STC (Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre) was invited to be a guest speaker for the “Testing and Certification Services for Smart Lighting and IoT Products seminar session” during the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) 2021.  Dr. Brian Chan, STC Electronics & Electrical Products Department Manager, explained the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Requirements of Smart Lightings in China and global markets.
