To better support STC's brand and the Group’s diversified development needs, we are pleased to announce that STC’s member organization "STC (Dongguan) Co. Ltd." is renamed "STC (Guangdong) Company Limited" (“STC (Guangdong)”) with immediate effect.
STC (Guangdong) was first established in 2005 with premises of over 35,000 square meters. It has several advanced testing laboratories providing testing and certification services for a wide range of products. Following sustained development, today, STC has become a major testing, inspection, and certification institution in the South China region.
This renaming is an important step in STC's global development. STC (Guangdong) is based in the Greater Bay Area, allowing STC (Guangdong) to readily serve China and the international community. As a result of years of development, STC (Guangdong) has become an independent third-party testing and certification organization, and has obtained accreditation fromChina Inspection Body and Laboratory Mandatory Approval (CMA), China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Consumer Product Safety Committee (CPSC), Govmark Flame Laboratory (Govmark), Industry Canada (IC), Lucideon, SATRA, Nemko, Japan Safe Product Association (CPSA), and Gulf Cooperation Council (GC). Notably, STC (Guangdong) is also an accredited testing laboratory (CBTL) in the international IECEE-CB scheme.
Services cover a diversified range of products, offering comprehensive testing solutions for toys, children's products, textiles, clothing, footwear, furniture, electronics and electrical products, medical devices, food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, among others.

【Hong Kong, 5 February 2023】The 72nd Spielwarenmesse 2023 was successfully staged at the Messezentrum Nürnberg (Nuremberg Exhibition Center) in Germany during 1-5 February 2023. STC (Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre) was one of the 2,000 exhibitors from 70 countries. Apart from being an individual exhibitor, STC also exhibited under the banner of The Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (HKCTC).
During the exhibition, various producers and purchasers of toys sought professional consultation at STC’s booth. STC explained the latest regulations and testing standards for toys in detail and recommended solutions under various topics raised. STC was able to introduce its scope of services highlighting STC’s toy safety testing service. These services have long been assisting in ensuring product compliance before market entry, enhancing the quality and safety of products so they are not only permitted to be sold but also successfully launched. Many visitors expressed their appreciation of STC's professional service capabilities and eagerness to learn more about STC’s services.
STC’s toy safety testing service includes, among others, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing, Physical & Mechanical Properties Testing and Phthalates Testing. The EMC Testing carries out tests on toys’ radiated disturbance and electrostatic discharge, etc. The Physical & Mechanical Properties Testing performs tests on toys’ load stresses, such as compression, torque and tension, while the Phthalates Testing mainly addresses the amount of hazardous chemicals in toys.

It provides testing services under the Certificate of Accreditation VILAS 1396 issued by the Bureau of Accreditation (BoA) of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. In December 2022, its scope of accredited testing services was further extended.
Following official approval, we are delighted to announce that our laboratory in Haiphong City is now offering full scope of testing services for toys and children’s products.
